We had the pleasure of undertaking major restoration works on this church and the adjoining curriculum area in kew.

This was done in 2 stages, while working in with other trades to make it come together.

The client wanted to preserve the old roof tiles and keep the mossy appearance, while renewing all necessary areas of decay and making sure the water stays out.

Before starting each stage, we installed all necessary safety items. Lower pitched areas had Fall protection/guardrail setup and steep pitched areas had quick stage scaffold put in place.

All old valley gutters were replaced for new and resealed with stormseal, lear gutters replaced, protrusions were also replaced for new, along with repair and replacement of vent ridge. Then all broken tiles were replaced, along with flashing where necessary and even a skylight was replaced on church.

We cleaned, prepped and re bed ridge capping where necessary and let set/harden. To finish, we resealed all necessary areas with flexible pointing and painted all dormers on the church.

All work done on the steep pitch areas of the church was undertaken using roof ladders and a big boom lift (ewp machine), for the hard-to-reach areas.

Everyone was happy with the outcome; this one will stand tall for many years to come.
