Sky high commercial roof restoration

This old block of apartments in east Melbourne was being renovated inside and preserved outside, so the client wanted to save the old Terracotta tiles and give them some love along with all important common leak areas.

We replaced hundreds of broken tiles, installed new lead flashings around walls, replaced rotten battens and reinstated all areas disturbed by other repairs undertaken.

Once the roof was watertight we soaked the tiles with moss treatment and cleaned them with high pressure cold water, making sure to rinse down all surrounding areas affected.

Ridge were rebed and left to set/harden, before flexible pointing was applied to reseal ridge cappings.

This roof should last for many more years to come, saving the client money and keeping the heritage of building in tact.
