This client wanted a sleek look like slate, though wanted something more contemporary that could be walked on afterwards and take hail stones without breaking.
They chose the Barrington Shingle tile, it’s a bigger profile then Barrington slate tiles and is unique onto itself.
We setup scaffold and removed all capping first up, then binned the old slate tiles and battens, cleaning as we went.
New batten gauges were set, new timber battens and sarking were then installed.
Each shingle tile was installed with 2 screws, with all valley tiles cut to a straight line marked in valleys before fixing.
New colorbond capping was installed and roof was washed done to remove dust, so the roof was left nice and clean.
